Zamolxes foundation radio club will operate between 01.06-31.12.2011 with the special call YOØYOA in order to promote the first youth exchange organized in Europe, entitled 'Youngsters on the Air', under the program 'Youth in Action' financed by European Commission but also the radio amateurism among youngsters.
We’ll be QRV on all HF and VHF bands.
Between 01.06-31.07.2011 we’ll operate also another special callYOØTSL in order to commemorate 155 years from the birth of Nikola Tesla.

Youngsters On the Air
27th of July – 3rd of August, 2011 - Campina Romania

"Youngsters On the Air” is a youth project developed under action 1.1 – youth exchanges of Youth in Action programme, on the themes of radio amateurism and education through sport and outdoor activities. The 45 participants from nine countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Holland, Poland, Slovenia and Romania) will take part at this project that will be developed in Campina during 7 days. The participants will be involved in activities implemented with the support of non formal education tools such as presentations, games and exercises, workshops, debates, Field-Day, outdoor activities, Open Cafe, meetings with the youngsters and radio amateurs from Campina, which will give them the learning space to raise their tolerance and solidarity spirit toward diversity, to raise the understanding between them, to develop their volunteering spirit and to develop the initiative and entrepreneurship skills.

ISS - italian school contact

Saturday 19 March 2011 at 08:38 UTC, i.e. 09.38 CEWT, an ARISS educational amateur radio contact is scheduled for two Italian schools: SIP Cossar / Da Vinci in Gorizia and Elena Guerra Middle School in Rome.


"Leonardo da Vinci" Technical Institute includes also the Cossar institute for commerce. This school is located in Gorizia, North East of Italy, between the hills of Carso territory. The school has been built in 1920 and it offers the students workshops and electronic labs. There are about 450 students. For this contact the students had to design a receiver for the 2 meter band.
"Elena Guerra" School was established in 1950 and is run by "Suore Oblate dello Spirito Santo" ( Holy Spirit Nuns). It is a private School, comprizing a Nursery, a Primary and a Middle School. Educational policy is to have few classes, offering the students education not only from a didactic point of view but mainly for their growth as responsible human beings.
The radio contact will be operated by two amateur radio stations: IW3QKU and IKØUSO.
Downlink signals will be audible in Europe on 145.800 MHz FM
